John M. Cissik holds a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Texas at San Antonio, a Master’s degree in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University, and a Master’s of Business Administration in accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas. He holds certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, U.S.A. Track and Field, and the old U.S. Weightlifting Federation. John has been involved in strength and conditioning for more than twenty years from commercial fitness, corporate fitness, universities, the Olympic level, and administration. He has written ten books on strength and conditioning and filmed four DVDs on strength and speed training. John has over 70 publications ranging from Muscle and Fitness and Ironman to track and field publications to Strength and Conditioning Journal.
John M. Cissik aspires to provide athletes and their coaches a resource to aid in improving their athletic performance and to develop research based strength and conditioning programming. He is also heavily involved in strength and conditioning, agility and speed, and program design education, whether through talks at conferences or local workshops.

John specializes in providing education to strength and conditioning professionals. He travels to speak at conferences, has hosted workshops, and can travel to train a facility’s staff members. He provides training on the following:
